Dan,
ReplyDeleteThis is a fine start. Your consideration of the first ad is good, but I'm not sure why you start with the assumption that this ad is about global warming. It seems to me that this ad is trying to raise awareness about extinctions, which can be caused by a number of factors including global warming. Am I wrong to make this assumption? There are also a couple of weak arguments in your discussion of the other two ads. Why do you say that the USPS is targeting people who are "fed up?" You might be right to say this, but you need to back it up with some concrete observations. For example, you might point my attention to the capital letters or to the red background... In this assignment and in future assignments, it's important to remember to support your points with visual evidence.
